We take the safety of our children very seriously at Leamington Hastings, which is why each year we have a ‘safety week’ to raise the children’s awareness and to teach them safety skills.
The children in Nursery talked about classroom and road safety and Reception painted safety pictures and wrote safety messages:
Scarlett: “Listen to your Mummy and Daddy when you cross the road.”
Rose: “The cooker is hot.”
Ella and Krista: “Listen to your swimming teacher.”
Years 1 and 2 learned about personal safety and the importance of protecting their ears from loud noises, as well as enjoying a visit from fire fighters from our local fire station.
We ended the week with a special assembly when the children showed their bright and informative posters and shared what they had learned about keeping themselves safe.
